Silly Kadin
While I was preparing lunch the other morning, Kadin found a way to keep himself busy. He emptied almost everything out from the bottom drawer of the pantry and climbed right in. He was fine with being in there until he tried to get out and couldn’t. I had to help pull him out. I wonder if he will attempt to go in there again anytime soon???
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies
These are some delicious brownies. (Thanks to Betty Crocker) Give them a try!
One Betty Crocker Brownie Mix and one Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix. Follow the directions on the box for making the brownies and pour into a greased 13 X 9 pan.Make the cookie mix as directed on the pouch and drop by rounded tablespoons into the brownie batter. Press the dough down lightly into the brownie batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes in a 350 degree preheated oven. When they're done, take them out and let them cool completely before frosting them. Then, you can frost them with chocolate frosting or for an even better version, do what I did. Whip up some chocolate ganache. Pour it on top and spread it out evenly.
Chocolate Ganache
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
6 Tbsp butter
- In a small saucepan, heat cream and butter until just before the boiling stage.
- Pour over the chocolate morsels.
- Let stand about 20 seconds and stir until smooth.
- Pour over brownies and let set before cutting. Once the chocolate ganache has set up, then cut the brownies and enjoy.
Yep, they look good. And they tasted great! Thanks Betty!

Outside Fun
The other day we had some fun outside with the boys sand/water table. They enjoy it being filled with just water. Kadin decided to crawl under the table and check out the water leaking from below it. He enjoyed playing with the fountain of water and didn’t mind one bit that it was falling on top of him.

Parade
This past Sunday we went to a parade in a nearby town. It was funny watching Colin try to pick up the candy as it was thrown onto the street. He would pick up just one piece and then get all excited afterwards. I don’t think he realized that he had a chance at all the pieces of candy laying in front of him!

Colin resorts to the basement
This morning I moved Colin’s bed downstairs. It hasn’t been working with both of the boys sharing a room upstairs. They just play and keep each other up for hours. Last night I sat in the other room and listened to them laugh and giggle for a good hour. I finally ended up taking Colin out of the room. To my surprise about 2 minutes later Kadin fell asleep. I am hoping tonight goes well with the bedroom situation. We have five bedrooms in this house. We might as well use them, right?

Grandma and Grandpa S. gave Colin this adorable shirt for his 2nd Birthday. Isn’t it cute? It fits Colin to a tee. Thanks so much!
